The provision of social services for the elderly has a significant impact on how the elderly adapt to internal and external changes in themselves. This is able to support the degree of welfare for the elderly through social services. Social services are needed so that the elderly can overcome all their problems and meet their demands. Therefore, it is believed that social services will be beneficial for the elderly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of social services on the psychosocial well-being of nursing home residents. The research technique uses a qualitative approach with secondary data (literature review) as a source of data collection. The results of the literature review show that social services for the elderly provided in orphanages have so far had a positive influence on both psychological and social elements. Psychosocial problems faced by the elderly in orphanages can be solved with the help of social services. In addition, these social services can also meet the psychosocial needs of the elderly. However, not every provision of social services carried out at the orphanage has a good impact on the elderly. This is due to the fact that social services face problems and obstacles. In order to optimize the services provided to the elderly, efforts should be made to overcome these problems and barriers.
