This study examines parenting issues divided into three main themes: (1) parenting styles, (2) family conditions, and (3) the quality of family relationships. These themes were identified based on the grouping of findings from various reviewed articles. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review method following PRISMA guidelines and includes nine relevant articles for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that neglectful and authoritarian parenting styles are risk factors that may encourage adolescents to engage in bullying. Interestingly, some evidence also suggests that authoritarian parenting can, in certain contexts, contribute to lower tendencies of bullying behavior. Furthermore, family relationships characterized by warmth, involvement, and support for the child’s autonomy were found to be protective factors, while family conflict, psychological control, and low emotional cohesion emerged as major triggers of aggressive behavior. These findings hold important implications for social work practice, particularly in conducting assessments and designing intervention plans at the mezzo level, where both adolescents and their families are involved in the intervention process
