https://ejournal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/Sosioinforma/article/view/3429

This study examines parenting issues divided into three main themes: (1) parenting styles, (2) family conditions, and (3) the quality of family relationships. These themes were identified based on the grouping of findings from various reviewed articles. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review method following PRISMA guidelines and includes nine relevant articles for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that neglectful and authoritarian parenting styles are risk factors that may encourage adolescents to engage in bullying. Interestingly, some evidence also suggests that authoritarian parenting can, in certain contexts, contribute to lower tendencies of bullying behavior. Furthermore, family relationships characterized by warmth, involvement, and support for the child’s autonomy were found to be protective factors, while family conflict, psychological control, and low emotional cohesion emerged as major triggers of aggressive behavior. These findings hold important implications for social work practice, particularly in conducting assessments and designing intervention plans at the mezzo level, where both adolescents and their families are involved in the intervention process
Salsabila Tresna AlikaNurliana Cipta ApsariMuhammad Budi Taftazani

Violence against children in Indonesia remains a serious and multidimensional social problem. Data from SIMFONI PPA (2024) report more than 15,000 cases annually, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and neglect. Child Welfare Institutions (Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak/LKSA) play a vital role in the recovery and rehabilitation of child victims; however, existing practices are largely administrative and material in focus, with limited attention to psychosocial recovery and identity reconstruction. This article explores the application of a narrative approach in LKSA as an alternative social intervention paradigm centered on meaning-making and empowerment. By positioning children as reflective subjects with voice, narrative practice facilitates the re-authoring of life stories to rebuild identities affected by violence. Using a literature review and conceptual analysis, the article highlights three key dimensions: narrative externalization of violent experiences, identity reconstruction through re-authoring and re-membering, and the transformation of LKSA into spaces for meaning recovery. The findings suggest that narrative practice strengthens trauma-informed care, enhances children’s participation in recovery processes, and fosters more collaborative and egalitarian social worker–child relationships.
Ellya Susilowati

Sexual violence against women is a complex phenomenon that is shaped not only by individual perpetrators’ behaviors, but also by social, cultural, and institutional structures that perpetuate gender inequality. This study employs a literature review method to analyze power relations as a fundamental factor that enables the occurrence of sexual violence and influences the responses of victims, families, and institutions. The findings indicate that patriarchal structures, cultural norms that demand women’s obedience, and hierarchical systems of authority within educational and religious institutions create conditions that heighten women’s vulnerability to sexual violence. In contexts such as Islamic boarding schools, formal schools, and churches, power relations are manifested through moral and academic authority, unquestioned obedience, and the lack of effective oversight mechanisms. At the broader social level, cultures of shame, family pressure, and male dominance in decision-making processes further obstruct reporting and access to justice for victims. This article argues that sexual violence cannot be understood merely as an individual act, but rather as a product of structured and institutionalized power relations. Therefore, efforts toward prevention and response must involve cultural transformation, institutional reform, and the dismantling of social practices that sustain gender inequality.
Adi TalanBudi Muhammad TaftazaniNurliana Apsari

https://ejournal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/Sosioinforma/article/view/3415

This study examines the social resilience of the Asmat people in Papua, whose lives are deeply rooted in ecological bonds, local wisdom, and community solidarity. While their cultural identity and subsistence practices based on forests and swamps serve as the foundation of daily life, the Asmat face multidimensional challenges, including economic vulnerability, limited access to health and education services, as well as constraints in transportation and communication. This research applies a literature study approach by reviewing relevant scholarly articles, books, and research reports. The findings reveal that reliance on a subsistence economy renders the community highly vulnerable to climate change, environmental degradation, and limited market access. In health, the shortage of medical personnel, inadequate facilities, and poor access to clean water significantly reduce quality of life. In education, the lack of schools and teachers hampers school participation and the development of life skills among younger generations. Nevertheless, opportunities for strengthening social resilience can be pursued through livelihood diversification based on local potential, small-scale livestock and community-based fisheries, improvement of transportation and communication infrastructure, and the enhancement of basic services. This study emphasizes the need for development strategies that are inclusive, participatory, and contextually adapted to indigenous communities, ensuring that the social resilience of the Asmat can be both preserved and sustainably strengthened.
Rotua Siringoringo Urip WahyudinEka Nurwahyuliningsih

https://ejournal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/Sosioinforma/article/view/3404

This study focuses on the effectiveness of implementation and the challenges faced in carrying out the KUBE program within the context of social policy in Gunungkidul Regency. KUBE, or Kelompok Usaha Bersama (Joint Business Group), aims to alleviate poverty through economic empowerment of low-income communities. The research method used is a literature review by examining various sources such as legislation, data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and findings from previous studies. The poverty rate in Gunungkidul Regency is recorded at 11.13%. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the KUBE program in Gunungkidul Regency has not yet been effective in achieving the objectives of community empowerment. The program is dominated by a top-down approach, lacks community participation, and has not been fully aligned with local potentials and the needs of its beneficiaries. The program requires policy reorientation toward a more participatory (bottom-up) approach, capacity strengthening for program facilitators, and the development of performance-based monitoring and evaluation systems. These improvements are expected to transform KUBE into a sustainable, participatory, and goal-oriented economic empowerment program that effectively contributes to poverty reduction, particularly in Gunungkidul Regency and Indonesia in general.
Erika PutriMarita Ahdiyana

https://ejournal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/Sosioinforma/article/view/3388

This study examines Multi-Stakeholder Collaborative Strategies to Overcome Social and Economic Barriers in Green Energy Implementation in North Konawe with a case-study-based qualitative approach, combining in-depth interviews, participatory observation, document review, stakeholder mapping, and process tracing to analyze synergies between the government, private sector, academia, NGOs, and local communities. The results show that cross-actor collaboration, through adaptive regulation, inclusive investment, technology transfer, and local economic empowerment, creates a green energy ecosystem that is sustainable, inclusive, and responsive to local needs. This research provides theoretical contributions in the form of integrative models of multi-stakeholder collaboration in the clean energy transition, as well as practical contributions with recommendations for participatory dialogue mechanisms, innovative financing strategies, and empowerment programs that strengthen local capacity and ensure equitable access to the socio-economic benefits of green energy.
Bakri YusufEka SuaibMuhammad Arsyad

Development and conflict are two distinct yet interrelated elements within society. Although development is generally associated with positive progress, the process can also generate negative consequences in the form of social conflict. Conversely, social conflict may trigger responses that promote further development, particularly in addressing inequalities or systemic issues. Post-conflict recovery efforts are therefore essential. Several key aspects can accelerate these efforts, including security and basic needs, economic recovery, social cohesion and justice, governance and legal frameworks, and community empowerment. Furthermore, markets can be defined in two categories: traditional markets and modern markets. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the function of markets as catalysts in post-conflict social recovery efforts, both in traditional and modern contexts. This research employs a literature review method. The findings indicate that markets function as catalysts in post-conflict recovery efforts, both in traditional and modern contexts. This is attributed to several key functions of markets, including their roles as gathering spaces for diverse visitors, venues for communication with various interaction styles, sites of trade and economic exchange, platforms for community empowerment, centers of economic activity, and arenas for social contribution.

Keywords: Traditional Market, Modern Market, Social Conflict, Mitigation, Curative, and Catalyst
Alfrojems Alfrojems

https://ejournal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/Sosioinforma/article/view/3380

Abstract

The increasingly complex global refugee crisis highlights the significant vulnerability of refugees to mental health issues. Traumatic experiences prior to displacement, stress during the journey, and challenges adapting to the destination country contribute to the high prevalence of disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety among this population. Social work, with its holistic, rights-based, and strength-centered approach, plays a crucial role in mitigating these impacts and promoting the psychosocial well-being of refugees. This literature review aims to analyze in depth the contribution of social work in supporting the mental health of refugees in various international contexts, identify effective intervention models, and explore challenges and opportunities in practice. The method used is a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed journal articles and international organization reports from 2015 to 2025. The review results show that social workers implement community-based psychosocial support, case management, policy advocacy, and culturally sensitive interventions. This article concludes with recommendations for evidence-based practice and future research directions to strengthen the social work response to the mental health needs of refugees effectively.

Keyword: Social Work, Mental Health, Refugees, Forced Migration, Psychosocial Interventions, Advocacy, International Context.

Dhepita SeptiyaniHastin Trustisari

The self-adjustment experienced by ex-prisoners in dealing with the negative stigma they receive from society after serving their sentences. To understand the difficulties ex-prisoners face during social reintegration, this study collected data from various sources through descriptive qualitative methods and literature review. The study shows that the social stigma attached to ex-prisoners often leads to ostracism, discrimination, and difficulty building good social relationships. However, many ex-offenders strive to change society by participating in social activities and behaving positively. Family, community, and effective rehabilitation programs are crucial to help them adjust and reduce stigma. This study found that collaboration between the community, government, and relevant institutions is needed to create an environment that supports the social reintegration of ex- prisoners so that they can contribute positively in society. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for communities and policy makers on how they can assist the reintegration of ex-offenders.

KEYWORDS:

Ex-prisoners; Discrimination; Social support
Elda Putri Azkiy
